gearing up for the holidays

Hey everyone! So this week will be hosted by my lovely friend Chloe. Chloe is a fashion designer and has her own line. She lives in k-town. Please call or email to RSVP so I can let her know how many people to expect. I have some awesome patterns for neat holiday gifts that I can't wait to get started on. No new news, but I do have some pictures of some things I've made.

Teddy for Sunny

Panda for Lauri

Booty shorts

These shorts were designed by Chloe, I came up with the pattern and knit them up for her.

Getting Started

Well, this knitting circle has been something I have wanted to do for a long time. It's been hard to set aside the time for me, so I know how hard it has been for you guys to put some time aside. So thanks to everyone what has been making an effort to come out these last couple of weeks.

My idea for the group is that we get together every Sunday a little after 8 pm and do needle craft. I knit and crochet mostly, but if other want to sew or embroider or cross stitch those are welcome too. If you don't know how to knit I can teach you. So bring your friends and bring some cookies or wine.

So far we have been meeting only at my house. I would love it if the group could travel. This would give us a chance share the work of hosting as well as making it easier for people of different parts of town. This week I'm will be in Pasadena at Edgar's house. So if someone else wants to host in a more central part that would be nice, if not, Pasadena it is.

Oh another thing: Carpooling. It would be great if we could get a carpool going since there are probably quite a few people from the same parts of town. I know that there are quite a few of you guys in the westside that I am sure would love to share the carpool lane. So let me know if you would be down with a carpool this Sunday.

I have some great patterns for easy gifts if anyone wants to move beyond scarves this Christmas.
